Do my students' names sync from my school system?
Not yet — school-system sync is on the roadmap. Today, you type or paste your roster into Chalkspace directly. This is by design: we don't connect to school systems on your behalf.
Is my students' PII safe?
Yes. Your account owns your data — the student names, notes, and seating charts you create belong to you. We don't sell, share, or aggregate it with anyone. Student notes are private to you and aren't visible to other users. You can export or delete everything at any time.
What happens to my charts if I cancel Pro?
You keep them — they stay in your account on the free plan. If you have more than one classroom, we'll lock the extras until you re-subscribe; your one primary classroom stays free.
Is there a school / district plan?
Yes — Chalkspace School is $35 per teacher per year with a 10-teacher minimum. To find out more, email schools@chalkspace.win.
Does it work offline?
Not yet. The site is serverless on Cloudflare's edge and designed to load in under a second on school Wi-Fi. An installable PWA with offline mode is on the roadmap.
Can I import my old spreadsheet?
Spreadsheet import is on the roadmap — currently you'll add students one-by-one or copy a list in. We're working on a paste-a-spreadsheet flow and will announce it when it's ready.
